Real Rust

Fleur Real Rust is a water based product that contains tiny iron particles which oxidize when you apply the specific reagent. It comes in two colours Rust or Light Rust.

It allows you to create a real rust coating on practically any surface, including wood, metal,plastic, glass, etc.

It’s a 3 step process and can be applied by roller, brush, sea sponge, etc for whatever effect or finish you want.

Once you have reached the desired effect,  Fleur’s Anti-oxidant Finish is applied to protect the rust finish and stops the oxidation process.

HOW TO

Step 1: Mix the Rust or Light Rust well and apply two coats. Let it dry 2-3 hours between coats.

Step 2: Apply the Activator (Reagent) unevenly with a brush, sponge or spray bottle.

Step 2: Once the desired result is obtained and after letting it dry, apply 2 coats of Anti-Oxidant Finish to stop the oxidation process, waiting 2-4 hours between the layers.

OPTIONAL:
Insulate the surface before you begin with the special Primer.
To speed up the oxidation time, mix the colour Rust (or Light Rust) directly with the Reagent in a 1:3 ratio.
