Mid century chest of drawers

The newest addition to our Mid Century Modern collection is this charming chest of drawers.

We've hand-selected this piece because it's a great example of Mid Century furniture, and we love the way it adds a pop of color to any room. It's a great option for adding storage in an entryway or hallway, but it would also look great as an accent piece in your bedroom!

This piece was manufactured by Avalon, a British company based in the town of Yatton, Somerset that traded between the 1960s to late 80s. It was painted in a soft green, and stands on shaped hardwood teak legs. 

The top drawer is smaller than the others, and has a raised stencil effect painted in the same soft green as the outside and has two gold colored metal handles. 

All five drawers have been cleaned and waxed inside and all run smoothly with dovetail joints throughout. The bottom four drawers form an angled beehive effect and pull out from underneath. A mid century stencil runs down the left side in graphite grey and a touch of gold.

76cm wide, 42.5cm deep and 103.5cm tall.

As with any vintage item there may be small imperfections, but this adds to the character and uniqueness of the piece. My furniture is hand painted to a high quality artisan finish not a factory finish.

Delivery is possible to the Republic of Ireland and Britain (excluding Highlands, Islands or Cornwall) A courier will be needed so a fee of £100 is payable at checkout.
